Emilie Blake is a former model, who appeared in numerous magazines and national ad campaigns in the 1960’s and 70’s. Some of her most memorable modeling assignments were Ultra Sheen, Slender, Jet Magazine, as well as album covers for the legendary Ray Charles, and the Maestro of Love, Barry White. Emilie was also married to actor Don Mitchell of the iconic TV drama, Ironside.
After deciding that modeling was no longer fulfilling, she decided to embark upon a new and exciting career as a film technician, thus securing a job at Color Deluxe and worked on films for such iconic directors as Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Aaron Spelling and Spike Lee. She was also the VP for the Film Technician’s Union, Local 683. Since her tenure ended and subsequent retirement from Color Deluxe, Local 683 merged with the Editor’s Guild. Throughout her life, Emilie has had a overwhelming love for writing. She’s written poems, short stories , a musical (containing dialogue in three different languages) and is currently organizing many of her earlier works to be included in a book.
Emilie is the proud mother of two daughters, three grandchildren, two son-in-laws, one sister and a brother, as well as a host of other family and friends who love her dearly.
